He earned his Mathematics Ph.D. focused on Nonlinear Optimization at age 20.

He has been involved with peer to peer technology since 1998, and with cryptocurrencies since 2013, including as CTO-equivalent for multiple projects.

He has contributed documentation or code to significant crypto projects including Horizen, Yearn/YFI, Chia, Cosmos, Synthetix, Ethermint, EOS-signing-request, as well as open source projects like MongoEngine.

He is an inventor of U.S. patent 7,660,853, Hashing algorithm used for multiple files having identical content and fingerprint in a peer-to-peer network.

He has been developing software since age 7, and has developed systems used by Charles Schwab & Co., Bank of America, Hewlett-Packard and other major corporations.

He completed the Chartered Market Technician Level I exam while taking coursework at Golden Gate University organized by the late Dr. Hank Pruden, author of The Three Skills of Top Trading.

He earned the General Carl A. Spaatz Award in the Civil Air Patrol, the U.S. Air Force auxiliary. He attended St. Thomas Choir School in New York City, where he sang in the world premiere of Requiem by Andrew Lloyd Webber.
